Responsibilities:
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- Assist with accounts payable - review, code, and enter invoices
- Complete tax forms and manage payments
- Answer client inquiries
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and post to GLs
- Reconcile bank deposits statements and credit card statements
- Perform a partial check of the posting process
- Develop and update systems to account for financial transactions by maintaining the chart of accounts and defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Holds 3+ years of experience in an Accounting Technician or Bookkeeper role
- Experience with either SAGE 50 or QuickBooks
- Recent public accounting experience and familiarity with Tax Prep would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and prioritize a heavy workload
- Holds strong analytical and problem-solving skills
