Ideally some experience or a recent grad eager to get into the field. You are familiar with what it means and the work required to manage "books" and do taxes.
In addition, you are professional by nature, organized, customer service oriented, a team player and open to flexible hours (there may be some weekend hours - especially during tax season).
Work is onsite in Havelock with lakes and trails minutes away and the best burger shop in town across the street.
Pay is a starting wage and can be discussed based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Utilize accounting software to record and maintain financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Perform general bookkeeping and tax duties, including data entry and record keeping
Skills:
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
