THE ROLE
Based in Vancouver, BC, Page Two is looking for a seasoned Bookkeeper to support the Finance team with full-cycle accounting activities. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Bookkeeper is responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting tasks, and should have strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adaptability skills.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing the full cycle accounting activities, including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly financials, semi-monthly payroll, quarterly GST/HST, annual EHT and WCB returns.
- Process and review incoming and outgoing invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain billing and invoicing systems, ensuring that all documentation and records are accurately recorded and up to date.
- Generate and send out invoices to customers via various channels, such as email, electronic billing systems, or traditional mail.
- Collaborate with the CFO to reconcile payments and resolve any invoicing or payment discrepancies.
- Prepare regular reports on invoicing and payment status, providing insights to management on outstanding balances and collections efforts.
- Stay informed about changes in invoicing and payment regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
Experience required
- Registered Professional Bookkeeper or Certified Professional Bookkeeper
- 3 years of Quickbooks Online experience
- 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Adaptability to a changing environment
- Strong organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
