Duties
- Accurately record transactions and maintain general ledgers
- Create invoices and perform tasks related to accounts receivable
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Maintain financial records and ensure they are up-to-date
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks Online) to record financial transactions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or related education
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using QuickBooks Online
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with Canadian sales tax regulations (HST, GST, PST, RST)
