Bookkeeper - Part Time

We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper who is interested in part-time work. The ideal candidate for this role must be reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines, as well as detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive bookkeeping duties throughout the entire accounting cycle using Sage 50 and QuickBooks.
• Management of accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Filing of government remittances including GST, PST and WCB.
• Regular account reconciliation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Preparation of year-end packages for submission to accountants, including tasks such as preparing trial balances, adjusting entries, and reconciling accounts.
• Provide support for special projects and undertake additional responsibilities delegated by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years experience in bookkeeping.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Sage 50, QuickBooks and Excel is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certificate or diploma in accounting is considered an asset.
