Bookkeeper

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• This is an in office role - Monday to Friday
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Education in accounting (preferably certification)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize time

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Post deposits and journal entries
• Review accounts receivable
• Review and maintain benefits
• Complete bank and cash reconciliations, as well as intercompany account reconciliations
• Prepare and complete tax returns, and make relates payments
• Complete WCB financial reporting
• Prepare and complete month-end reviews, as well as assist with year-end reviews
• Prepare payroll and maintain employee files
• File accounting documentation
• Assist Controller with other projects, as needed

Note:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset, but not required
• Experience with Spire Accounting Software an asset, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
