Schema App is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to play a key role in the company’s continued growth and market leadership. In this role you will be working closely with the Controller and be responsible for maintaining the health of the general ledger. Success at Schema App comes from someone who is energetic, hungry to learn, open to feedback and gets results!
Responsibilities
- Send out invoices, support the sales team and manage accounts receivable
- Handle accounts payable, and initiating payments
- Preparing payroll for processing and posting transactions
- Bank and other account reconciliations
- Preparing routine government filings (e.g. HST)
- Calculating and posting of accruals and prepaids
- Assisting the Controller with information gathering, calculations and reporting as needed
Requirements
- Ability to analyze and organize information
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll
- Highly organized and resourceful
- Self-starter that wants to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Trustworthy and honest person who maintains confidentiality
- Experience working with multiple currencies and systems, spreadsheets and QuickBooks Online preferred
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Remote but with ability to come into office a couple of days per month
