Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Utilize accounting software to maintain and update financial data
- Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment to vendors
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify accuracy of transactions
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
Experience:
- Post-secondary degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or business administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks
- Knowledge of payroll processing and relevant regulations
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation methods
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and identify discrepancies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
