Position Summary: Under leadership of the Executive Director, responsible for all matters related to the finances for GEM Canada, in keeping with accepted accounting practices and GEM’s mission policy, and responsible to supervise the administrative processes of GEM missionaries
Profile

Responsibilities:
· Payroll preparation and year end tax forms (T4 etc)
· Accounts Payable
· Keep accurate financial books and prepare for annual audit.
· Prepare and review all financial statements.
· Prepare and present under the direction of CEO the annual budget.
· Maintain records of all GEM assets.
· Work with GEM USA on transfers of funds between the two organizations.
· Maintain missionary accounts and supply reports.
· Retrieve mail from Oshawa PO Box for processing.
Work Environment
This role operates remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, smartphones, and filing cabinets.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with benefits; days and hours of work are generally set by hours of operation.
Preferred Education and Experience
· Post-secondary certification, preferably in a related field.
· At least two years of related professional experience.
· Knowledge of Fund Accounting is required.
