Brake Press Operator

Adamson Systems Engineering is a manufacturer of high-performance audio products located in beautiful Port Perry, Ontario. Our production environment contains state-of-the-art equipment, ranging from 5-axis machining and laser cutting to SMT board production - Pick and place, AOI and selective soldering, all located at our greenfield facility in Port Perry.

The machine shop team comprises CNC machinists, operators, programmers, skilled metal workers and material handlers performing laser, punch and form. Machine shop is a key component of our high-tech manufacturing environment designed with lean assembly principals throughout, featuring, PCB/SMT placement, CNC wood routers, powder/wet spray coating, pressing and assembly operations

Responsibilities:

• Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates.
• Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules.
• Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available.
• Measures and aligns materials to be used.
• Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Performs routine maintenance on the press brake.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.
• Basic computer and math skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to operate the press brake.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
