How you'll make an impact
Nestled inside of Canada's bustling capital city, our Ottawa benefits team is growing, and we are looking for a dynamic, experience, Senior Account Manager, a perfect role for someone who thrives on exceptional customer relationships.
- You will provide a high level of Client Service to assigned accounts
- Develop detailed project timelines and deliverables
- Liaise with key project stakeholders to ensure adherence to specific timelines
- Develop client proposals and project budgets; participate in finalist meetings as required
- Quality review renewals and experience reports as needed
- Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from existing clients
- Assist in negotiation of acceptable rates and terms with suppliers on renewals and proposals
- Audit client financial statements including accounting and ASO reconciliations
- Review claims and utilization data and look for trends and patterns
- Interpret benefits benchmark data and identify areas for plan improvement based on client benefits philosophy
- Quality review benefits marketing specifications and results
- Review contracts, summary plan documents (SPD's) to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements
- Prepare ad-hoc deliverables including benefit cost comparisons, budget projections, etc.
- Develop client communications including custom branding, presentations, memos and email announcements, posters, postcards, etc. as needed
- Develop detailed project timelines and deliverables using tools
- Liaise with key project stakeholders to ensure adherence to the timeline
- Lead appropriate resources to address the client's risk/capital management needs
- Develop client proposals and project budgets; participate in finalist meetings as required
- Present to HR teams and employee groups as needed

About you
- 2+ years in the group benefits marketplace
- Consider yourself an expert in Microsoft Suite and can manage your Outlook inbox with ease
- Fluently Bilingual in both official languages of French and English an asset
