Job Skills / Requirements
The Operations Manager, Okanagan Branch oversees the Branch Resource Coordinator, Portfolio Resource Coordinator, People & Culture team, as well as working directly with Client Service Managers, Security Programs Managers, and other Department Leads. The primary focus of this role is the execution of projects involving multiple departments, building strong internal processes with continuous review, mentoring managers, and building exceptional internal and external relationships.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
•Assist in developing, implementing, and executing projects, with an emphasize on long-term strategic planning and thorough collaboration with team members
•Work closely with Department Managers, and other Department Leads (i.e., People & Culture, Portfolio Resource Coordinator...) on interdepartmental projects
•Lead the prioritization of Paladin's Special Coverage portfolio of business, including related inside sales opportunities
•Carry out routine critical gap analysis of security programs to detect deficiencies and liabilities
•Oversee the Quality Assurance Processes for the Branch and work with other Managers to implement operational adjustments
•Investigate and analyze financial results pertaining to your area of business; manage cost of sale margins, overtime and overhead, and provide operational context
•Mentor, coach, and manage six direct reports - Client Service Managers (x2), Security Program Manager, Area Security Lead, Branch Resource Coordinator, and People & Culture Generalist.
•Act as a high-level point of contact for internal client incident escalations
•Work with the Director to create, implement, and oversee branch improvement projects
•Contribute to the ongoing growth of Paladin's business through active involvement in the local community
•Promote a collaborative and inclusive environment supporting Paladin's guiding principles
•Support the Director in the RFP process, as requested
•Other projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience with managing security programs, operational and scheduling coordination
•Experience in security account management best practices or general property management; a professional security or property management designation is an asset
•Well-defined business acumen, including definable experience in negotiation, conflict resolution, and large-scale team management
•Proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships
•Superior critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, and constant priority setting for our dynamic business
•Preference will be given to those applicants possessing post-secondary education in Business Administration, or similar, and a current CPP designation through ASIS
•Experience managing a mobile fleet or mobile security department would be an asset
Education Requirements (Any)
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources Management considered an asset
