Job description
Oversee and manage breakfast service for our guests and ensure a quality dining experience. Provide excellence in guest satisfaction with the highest food quality standards and service. Prepare food and beverage for the breakfast function. Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be dependable and prompt, arriving on time and ready to work in a clean and professional image.
- Manage the daily menu and portion control based on the number of guests occupied.
- Manage the food and supply inventory.
- Do inventory and Place orders based on the occupancy for the future days.
- Ensure we follow all food safety protocols and implement as needed.
- Ensure all foods are kept at safe temperatures.
- Ensure proper rotation of stocks (FIFO)
- Always build rapport with all guests , solving problems when able and reporting any complaints or issues immediately to management for resolution.
- Learn about the hotel's guests through conversations
- Pass on any sales leads daily that are obtained during discussions with guests to management.
- Continuously look for cost-effective ways to improve breakfast appeal.
- Assists department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures for the safety of all guests and employees.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous manner always.
- All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year’s supervisory experience in serving and/or food and hospitality industry is preferred.
Skills
- Must be efficient and thorough
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required
- Strong oral communication skills are required
- Must be energetic, possess good time management skills and eager to grow and develop as part of a team.
Requirement:
- Must have Food Handling Certificate
- Able to come to work from 5:30am-1pm
- Must be a team player and work together with the team.
- Must provide a police clearance report at the time of hire
Note: Will also be required to work in fast-paced, stressful environment****candidates currently in Kingston and is eligible to work in Canada will be considered for the position****
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
