Job Description

Looking for a Building Maintenance Worker that that oversee day-to-day operations of various buildings, handling aspects such as general maintenance, basic electrical repairs and basic plumbing and heating repairs, as well as preventative maintenance. The worker will work directly to the Landlord .

Responsibilities

- Snow Shoveling entries and walkways and miscellaneous areas

- Sweep debris outdoors

- Perform yard-work involving cutting grass and misc yard maintenance

- Complete inspection, cleaning and repairs as required of vacant rental units to prepare for new tenants

- Able to complete proper patching and painting of drywall, change light bulbs and fix basic plumbing issues etc.

- Respond to tenant maintenance requests, and the ability to keep a detailed log of the issue and resolution

- Regularly reviewing the buildings and reporting any issues or damages to the property manager

- Conduct preventive maintenance on and in the building

- Respond at any time to emergency calls (if required)

- Perform other duties as assigned which are directly related to the responsibilities of the position

Qualifications

- Previous Maintenance Worker and/or construction experience related to duties listed above is required

- Understanding of Building Maintenance systems

- Understanding of Boilers, pumps, and hydronic heating systems for maintenance, repair, and upgrades

- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment with excellent analytical abilities while taking the appropriate action.

- Work under pressure, and having to spontaneously solve problems at times

- Able to property communicate with the Landlord and Property Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $16.55-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
