Business Analyst

Position: Senior Business Analyst

Client: Federal government client

Location: Remote or Hybrid

Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

Security Clearance: Federal Government Secret Clearance

Language: English (French is an asset)

● Valid Government of Canada Security Clearance at the level of Secret

Must have 10 years experience in:

• Developing and documenting statements of requirements for considered alternative
• Performing business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows
• Evaluating existing procedures and methods, identifying and documenting items such as database content, structure, application subsystems
• Defining and documenting interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems
• Establishing acceptance test criteria with client
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements
• Analyze and translate business needs into functional specifications
• Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements, use cases, and test plans
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to elicit requirements and drive decision-making
• Support the development and implementation of new systems or enhancements
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and best practices
• Proficiency in tools such as Visio, vaticinate, Server, Agile, Project management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with data analysis tools such as R and Power BI

Your expertise in business analysis methodologies and tools will be essential in supporting the development and implementation of new systems or enhancements. Qualifications:

• 4 year post secondary degree in Computer Science; Information Technology, or Business program
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) Preferred*
• PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)® Preferred*
• Certified Advanced Level Business Analyst (CALBA) Preferred*
