Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Technology Services Division in the Health Application Services unit as a Business Analyst in the Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John or Miramichi areas.

Reporting to the Manager of Health Applications, the Business Analyst collaborates with the user community to gather business requirements and conduct workflow analysis, transforming them into functional benefits that will support the design and successful implementation of applications across the organization.
Key responsibilities of this position are:
- Participation in the planning, building and implementing of systems, upgrades and enhancements.
- Accountability for maintenance and support of these systems, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Ensuring systems are configured to meet architectural standards and guidelines.
- Assisting with functional, integration and user acceptance testing as required.
Must possess a post-secondary education of four (4) years in Computer Science, Business, Health Sciences or related discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience, including requirements gathering, systems analysis, trouble-shooting, process development and documentation. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience working in a health care environment.
- Experience with the Meditech or Allscripts systems.
Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
