The server is responsible for providing friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. Each server’s primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough knowledge of the bakery and café menus, including all bread, pastry items, special offerings, and beverages.
- Order Taking: Efficiently take customer orders, ensuring all preferences and special requests are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Service Excellence: Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner. Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction with each food item and/or beverage.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Clear and reset tables at the conclusion of each guest meal. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the café, including counters, tables, and floors.
- Payment Processing: Process payment, providing change and receipts as needed. Handle cash, credit, and debit transaction accurately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen staff and other team members to ensure that the café operates efficiently and customers receive excellent service.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer complaints quickly and with a positive attitude. Escalate to management as needed.
- Adhere to Food Safety Policies: Follow café pol icies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security, to ensure the safety of all employees and guests during each shift.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a server is preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided.
- Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to spend several hours on their feet and carry heavy trays of food, drinks, and dishes.
- Availability: Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is often required.

Pay: From $16.55 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
