Job Summary
The Cabinetmaker will work both in the shop and out in the field on job sites for installs.
Qualifications:
- Experience of a minimum of 5 years in cabinetmaking.
- Experience working in millwork is considered an asset.
- Works well alone and must be a team player.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check if requested.
- Possess a valid BC driver’s license.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and prepare layouts.
- Ability to measure, draw, layout, and create a scope of work accurately.
- Ability to draw and construct new builds, including materials and resources required.
- Ability to detach, repair, and re-install cabinets, specifically, kitchen cabinets.
- Ability to spray, build, and dip assembled articles with protective or decorative materials, such as varnish, stain, or paint would be an asset.
- Ability to safely operate shop tools such as a table saw, shaper, router, and edge-banding machine.
- Ability to reinforce and trim joints using appropriate tools such as glue, nails, or screws.
Job Accountabilities:
- Follow all company policies and standards, including Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Practice good housekeeping on the job, in the shop, and in the work vehicles.
- Have the creativity and adaptiveness to work at different job sites routinely, including the shop.
- Display good manners and attitude towards property owners, occupants of the property, co-workers, and sub-contractors.
- Be a teaching resource to the team to help with their development.
- Identify problems or barriers to finishing the project on time.
- Meet timeline expectations required by the customer and shop manager.

Salary: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
