Position: Café Attendant
Employment Details: Full-time (35 hours per week), temporary (16 weeks mid April-August), pending funding approval
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hr
Requirements: Cover Letter and Resume, minimum of three references, RNC Certificate of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check (required before commencing employment)

Summary of Position:
The guest experience at our Riverside Café is at the heart of the Café Attendant position. You must be passionate about great customer service. You will welcome guests to the café, providing prompt and courteous service and maintain a clean and pleasant environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with café menu items and daily specials
- Welcome café guests and identify their needs
- Maintain a friendly and engaging manner with all guests
- Support food and beverages preparation and deliver in a timely manner
- Keep kitchen and café area clean and in pristine condition, including cleaning and bussing tables and chairs
- Maintain awareness of supply inventory and follow Café procedures for replenishing supplies when running low
- Operate cash register, and payment systems
- Maintain a log with important information to be passed onto management
- Support special events and catering as needed
Qualifications:
- People person, bright personality
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Experience as Barista or with food service is an asset
- Previous cash handing experience is preferred
- MUST be flexible with availability
- Committed to an organized and clean work space
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs upright
