Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Manage a team of café staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed
- Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide feedback, and address any concerns
Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry
- Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions and manage inventory
- Strong interviewing skills to effectively select and onboard new team members
- Excellent team management abilities to motivate and inspire staff
- Cash handling experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, safety standards, and customer service protocols
- Strong leadership skills to guide the team towards achieving goals and maintaining high standards of service
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to implement proper procedures
