Cafe Server/Room Service Attendant

The Insignia hotel is a unique hotel with rich history and charm. Formerly known as the Drawbridge Inn, our hotel was initially built in the 1960’s. Throughout the history of Sarnia, the drawbridge was the place to be. Today, The Insignia Hotel is part of the Tribute Portfolio Collection, and we continue to grow and prosper with the beautiful city of Sarnia. We offer a full-service 84 room hotel with amazing amenities such as saltwater pool, dry saunas, gym, fine dining restaurant and bar. We also have a private banquet hall and drawbridge room available for business, conferences, and leisure events.

We are excited to announce that we will be opening a café on weekdays and starting rooms service very soon. We are looking for a café Server/Room Service delivery attendant.

What We Are Looking For

We are searching for a part-time server with availability between 11 am and 8 pm on weekdays. As a server at Regner's Tudor Lounge located inside The Insignia Hotel, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be responsible for taking room service orders as well as orders at the café.

What You Will Do

Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort during their stay at The Insignia Hotel.

Take orders accurately and efficiently, paying close attention to any special requests or dietary requirements.

Deliver orders promptly and with a friendly and professional attitude.

Use stairs to deliver orders as The Insignia Hotel when hotel is busy as the hotel does not have service elevators.

Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lounge area, ensuring a pleasant dining environment for our guests.

Job Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Take room service orders and orders at the café, delivering them promptly.

Food and Beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages.

Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.

Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth flow of operations and outstanding guest experiences.

Skills and Requirements

Previous serving experience is required.

Ability to carry up to 30 pounds and move up to 50 pounds.

Smart Serve certification is required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Warm and welcoming personality.

Comfortable with technology to take orders.
