As a Camp Counsellor you'll be involved in a wide variety of events, entertainment and exercises designed to help kids with special needs get the most out of summer.
Counsellors are responsible for a one-to-one relationship with their camper as well as any of their camper needs over the duration of camp (excluding medical needs).
Mandatory four-day training July 8- July 1, 2024.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm for five weeks. (July 15 to August 16, 2024)
Successful applicants will be:
- experienced working with people with special needs
- enthusiastic and energetic
- flexible and patient
- must be reasonably fit as some lifting is required on occasion and some campers are very active
- good communication skills
- team player in a collaborative environment
The deadline for applications is April 28th, 2024. Interviews will be conducted in May. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. All previous SPSC Counselors must re-apply to be considered.
