The Role

A Vending Attendant is a Vending Stand Lead’s assistant. Some duties may be similar to that of the Lead and can be involved with inventory controls, and cash handling; reporting opening/closing levels. They are primarily responsible for performing duties that simplify and support the Lead/Manager in any way. Must be at least 18 years old and SMART serve certified.
Responsibilities:

  • Restock inventory, match product to stand sheet and make sure there is enough product for the shift. Put away and organize any deliveries. Note: Always rotate products (F.I.F.O.)
  • Begin food production of popcorn, hotdogs, pretzels, etc.
  • Prepare loads and back up loads for food/beer vendors. (Popcorn trays, beverage tray, beer loads etc.)
  • Build mixed cases for beer vendors as per management direction
  • Ensure there are enough cleaning products available. (Mops, papertowel, broom, etc.)
  • Make sure the kitchen and service area are cleaned and organized
  • Stock ice for beverage vendors, beer vendors

During Event:

  • Collect empty cans and serving trays/bags from vendors.
  • Assist with POS system
  • Wash dishes.
  • Constantly wipe down and clean service and production areas.
  • Continuously build mixed beer cases for beer vendors.
  • Continuously build loads for food vendors. (Popcorn trays, Icee trays, etc)
  • Restock inventory and maintain organization.
  • Deliver loads to vendors when verified by Stand Lead.
  • Assist Vending Stand Lead with anything they need
  • Distribute and track water consumption for vendors.

Closing:

  • “Close to Open” - leave everything prepared and ready to open for the next day.
  • Close out POS
  • Clean and sanitize all production equipment. (Popcorn machine, Oven/Steamer, etc.)
  • Clean all dishes, sweep and mop, wipe down all surfaces
  • Organize inventory in fridges and Sweep and mop.
  • Storage areas. Make room for next day deliveries.
  • Break down and throw out all cardboard.
  • Throw out all trash and put new bags in bins.
  • Assist Vending Stand Lead with anything he/she needs. (Paperwork, etc.)
  • Ensure all vendor bags and trays are clean, post and pre-shift.

Any other duty as assigned by Lead and or Manager/Supervisor


Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications (Smart Serve)
  • Must be able to read, speak and write English Language proficiently in order to communicate with guests and other team members.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time while navigating ramps, stairs and elevators.
  • Ability to work most Sporting events (with minimum availability of 80% of events) including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training
