Cashier + General Help

"Hello" from The Market Garden!

We are an independent grocery store in Vic West, which for us, means endless possibilities to be creative, analytical, and innovative. There's a lot to take in at the store, so everyone starts on till to give you an opportunity to learn all of our unconventional ways, to be asked all of the (only initially) unpredictable questions, and to be exposed to the varied assortment of tasks.

There's always something to do, and no job here involves being chained to a single spot. You will have some direction, but ideally you are a self starter and someone that, with time, can learn to identify routines and what needs to be done.

Ideal candidates will have in depth knowledge and keen interests in food, ingredients and cuisines; Be both analytical/systematic and simultaneously visually creative; Like to identify and spearhead projects without in depth supervision; Not be afraid to get dirty and to tackle whatever comes our way (we really do everything ourselves - almost everything).

Specifics for positions open right now:

1. Helper / Produce Staff - Full Time $19/hr

* 7am start time (or earlier if you prefer), 5 set days a week

* must be able to identify different fruits and vegetables and if they are spoiled or fresh

* must have basic computer and math skills

2. Cashier / Floor Staff - Full Time $18/hr

* working hours noon - 8pm, 5 set days a week

* dealing with orders / deliveries

* must be able to comfortably lift and unpack boxes
