Casual / On Call Labourer - Snow Removal

School District 8 - Kootenay Lake is looking for qualified candidates to work on a Temporary as needed basis as Casual Labourer - Snow Removal during the winter season.

All awarded applicants will be required to join the CUPE Local 748 Union.

Note: A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check will be required from successful applicants, with a review every five (5) years.

If you are an internal candidate, the call out for this shift will be over and above regular assigned hours. Overtime will apply if necessary.

The minimum call out for this position will be two (2) hours.

Job Summary:

An employee, under supervision, provides support services.

Job Requirements:

1. Possess a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License.

2. Ability to take direction and suggestions from supervisor or designate.

3. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

4. Must have understanding and knowledge of safe work practices.

5. Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.
