We are looking for an upbeat, customer service driven individual to join our team in the important role of Cheese Tray Artist and front of house Cheese Cutter.

Job description

Express your creativity and train with one of our Cheese Trays Artists to learn all the tricks of the trade. The Cheese Tray Artist will create trays and other deli items. They will also train on the cutters and work as a front of house Cheese Cutter. Learn from the pros about 100+ cheeses. Help execute wedding and events and be a brand ambassador for a small team of passionate cheese professionals.

As the Cheese Tray Artist and Cheese Cutter, your main responsibilities will include:

• Assist our Event Specialist to build trays and other special event items
• Help to execute trays and events seamlessly in store and offsite
• Learn cheeses and assist customers in their cheese selections
• Maintain cheese stock in display coolers and keep a clean, organized display for customers and employees.
• Cut and wrap cheeses to customers specifications
• Participate in an environment that is positive, fun and engaging for all employees and customers
• Drive customer service excellence in every aspect of the store, including store appearance, display of merchandise, product placement, store layout, and selling procedures.
• Create and maintain relationships with customers
• Lead by example, demonstrate the Dover Cheese Shop Company Values and ensure the compliance of all company and store policies and procedures
• Completing store opening and/or closing procedures, executing housekeeping duties
• Maintaining a safe and clean store environment for our team members and customers. Ensure the store complies with safety policies and procedures

Required Experience:

• High energy, enthusiastic
• Deli or food prep experience an asset
• Willingness and desire to learn
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to bend and get up and down from the coolers
• Capacity to stand for long periods

Availability Requirements

• Regular work frequency is required to remain an active employee.
• Must be able to work up to eight hour shifts and up to 30 hours per week. Must have availability to meet the needs of the business that includes days, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55-$17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
