Description
The RM of McKillop, No. 220, is accepting resumes from qualified persons to fill the full-time position of Chief Administrative Officer.
The RM consists of 7 1/2 townships, encompassing 665 square kilometers of land. It lies south of the RM of Last Mountain Valley and west of the RM of Longlaketon, with Last Mountain Lake as McKillop'ss western and southern borders. The RM has a permanent population of 897 and has 9 organized hamlets and 10 unorganized hamlets with a significant seasonal population.
Being supported by a full-time Administrative Assistant, Financial Officer, and Development Officer and working closely with the Reeve and Council, you will be responsible for managing the complex affairs of a thriving and progressive rural municipality.
The successful applicant shall possess the following qualifications:
Certificate in Local Government Administration or equivalent.
Rural Class C certificate or higher (at least 5 years of experience preferred).
Experience with MuniSoft software including the Tax Roll, General Ledger, Hail, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Utility programs.
Strong communication, management, organizational, and inter-personal skills.
Knowledge and experience with organized hamlets and relevant legislation.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Experience with project management, financial planning, and asset management.
Discretion with matters pertaining to confidentiality and a working knowledge of LaFOIP.
