What you will do
Working within an industrial environment, perform a variety of assigned Facility Maintenance tasks including scheduled preventative maintenance, rounds, and unscheduled demand maintenance events, and oversee the Maintenance team to maintain the effectiveness of the plant. Apply knowledge, skills, and experience to work with the operations team and independently.
How you will do it
- Receive, update, and complete assigned preventative and demand maintenance works orders within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Respond to and rectify assigned tasks in general facility services and equipment repair.
- Source, plan, and organize required tools and materials for day-to-day tasks and projects.
- Use building prints, schematics, and other available documents while troubleshooting system failures and work requests.
- Working knowledge of chilled wáter systems with an ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines.
- Performs all work under established safety procedures and complies with all company policies.
- Other duties as required.
What we look for
Required
- Completion of a Refrigeration Operator Class “A” Certification and a mínimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial environment. Willing to consider other combinations of experience.
- Familiarity of TSSA regulations and requirements.
- Working and operating knowledge of building systems, troubleshooting, repair and replacement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently on tasks and as part of a team. Strong organational and time management skills.
- Working and operating knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, word, excel).
- Ability to effectively guide the Maintenance team, including the day-to-day training and scheduling.
- Ability to perform inspections, assist in the daily activities of the refrigeration team and ensure all preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment and systems are being implemented properly and are up to date.
- Provide direction, guidance, technical problem-solving, and leadership to the refrigeration/maintenance team.
- Assist in the procurement of vendor/contractor prices for various projects, parts, equipment, and tools.
- Manage the maintenance of the Daily Logbook.
- Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes the ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
- Must be able to work varying shifts (including night shifts), weekends, and holidays on a rotational shift schedule.
Preferred
- Experience with chilled water and compressed air equipment and ancillary equipment.
