Duties:
Specific:
- Support children who have diverse needs in a classroom setting
- Support co-educators in meeting needs of children in the classroom in an inclusive manner
- Implement IPP and/or IEP strategies
- Assist in report writing for the IPP/IEP
General:
-Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and communication
Requirements:
- Time management skills to effectively plan and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in computer operation for record keeping and communication purposes
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a well-managed classroom environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership qualities to guide and inspire children in their learning journey
Applicants must provide:
- A Level 2 or 3 Certification in Early Childhood Education is required. Experience working with young children is highly valued.
- Criminal record check with Vulnerable sector search less than 6 months old
- Child intervention Record Check less than 6 months old
- First Aid from St John or Red Cross that includes the child component.
