Responsibilities

Tasks

• Treat patients using braces, casts, shields, orthotic devices, physical therapy, or prescribed medications
• Treat patients using braces, casts, shields, orthotic devices, physical therapy and subcutaneous soft-tissue foot surgery
• Administer local anesthetics
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Maintain equipment
• Maintain records of treatments given
• Provide wound and bandage care

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

• Licensure in chiropody by provincial or territorial authorities
