Class 1 & 3 Truck Driver

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safe loading, shipment and unloading of materials and equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained; including pre-trip inspections, daily inspections, logbooks when required.
• Properly fuel, use and return truck in an organized and neat manner after each shift.
• Work as a team player on project sites.

Experience & Requirements:

• Must provide clean abstract and valid Class 1 or 3 (with air) driver’s license.
• 1-2 years driving experience; with minimum 1 year experience with Gravel hauling, including Super B’s, End dump and Belly dump trailers.
• Asphalt hauling would be considered an asset.
• Low bed experience is an asset, including knowledge to order permits for over-sized or out of province loads.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements.
• Able to work extended hours including evenings and weekends. Must be safety conscious, critical thinker and physically fit – Able to lift >50lbs.
• Must have good depth perception, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and awareness for surroundings. Strong verbal and written communication skills and have positive attitude.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.
