Class 1 Driver & Heavy Equipment Operator

Ace Vegetation is expanding their operations across western Canada. We are seeking individuals who are capable of operating the company's tractor trailers and the equipment transported to the site to complete the project on time as required by our clients. We desire strong team players capable of working with others for a common goal with the ability to learn other skills to fulfill our objectives.

The ability to operate and service our equipment daily is a necessity. Ace has CMI Mulchers, Rayco Mulchers, Hydro-Ax mowers and a skid steer mulcher. In addition to these units we also run tractor mowers in the summer season. A desire to expand your knowledge and experience in clearing, brushing, mulching, and developing right of ways is beneficial. We provide accommodations and a meal allowance while working away from home base.

This is a permanent full-time position. The majority of our work is across the prairies with the potential to work in B.C, the Northwest Territories, or the Yukon. Shifts can vary depending on client needs.

Your skill set will require:

· Class 1 driving, hauling equipment, with off road chain up experience

· Tracked equipment operation on all terrain is essential

· First Aid & CPR Level C with AED

· H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO

· Able to work out of town for extended periods

· Equipment maintenance & minor repairs

· Inspecting sites for quality control

· Communication

· Record keeping

· Developing your experience in clearing, brushing, and right of ways

· Quality customer contact and public relations to support driving sales

· Estimating and Budgeting is an asset

· Herbicide application and weed management is an asset
