Class 3 Driver - Water Truck

Role Summary
Reporting to the General Superintendent and Dispatch, the Water Truck Driver will be responsible for timely delivery of water to our job sites. Based out of our construction sites in Charlottetown and surrounding area, this role will require a committed individual who is willing to work varying hours to ensure our job sites operate efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Loading Water Truck and delivering to construction job sites.
• Completing pre-trip inspections, including tank is secure and free from leaks.
• Ensuring safe delivery and pick up of water.
• Properly lift and maneuver hoses on and off the truck to load and unload water.
• Light vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Completing and submitting reports as required.
• Reporting any accidents or incidents involved in or witnessed.
• Adhere and support all safety requirements and quality standards set forth in the PEI Occupational Health and Safety General Regulations, PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System.
• Use your experience to identify health and safety deficiencies and support Management in implementing solutions OR report to Management when required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• 1+ years of commercial truck driving experience in a construction environment preferred.
• Class 3bc2c9cc2071a5132e4ef06ac1b5bd96 license required.
• Basic understanding of weight distribution while hauling loads.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment.
• Ability to handle a physically demanding role in various locations and climate extremes.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week

• Commercial driving: 1 year (required)
• Construction: 1 year (preferred)
