As a student, you will build lasting relationships with industry leaders, and contribute to work that will build and strengthen your skill sets. Primary duties include:
- Collect, process, and analyze climate and operational data to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.
- Develop and apply Data Science techniques, such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and visualization, to support planning for climate adaptation actions.
- Collaborate with municipal staff and interested parties to understand their climate-related challenges and needs and provide data-driven insights and solutions.
- Communicate and disseminate Climate Data and findings to various audiences using effective visualization techniques.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a third year degree program in Data Science or Climate Science.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), PowerBI, Python or Equivalent.
- Success in this position requires an ability to take initiative and identify innovative and efficient ways to analyze data.
- Ability to focus on business goals while maintaining attention to detail and taking ownership and responsibility for one's work.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2024.
