Clinical Contracts Manager
Adecco is currently recruiting for a Clinical Contracts Manager for a 12 month on site contract with a possibility of extension. This role is with our client in Ottawa, ON.
The Clinical Contracts Manager will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating contracts and budgets with research sites, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory protocols, and obtaining necessary approvals from senior management for clinical agreements.

  • Overseeing clinical site payments/financials associated with clinical studies.

  • Writing technical contract language covering items such as indemnification, subject injury language, intellectual property rights, confidentiality, and other similar matters.

  • Analyzing and resolving differences in contract interpretations between the client and sites and resolving conflicts as necessary.

  • Maintaining communication of negotiation status using Company IT systems.

  • Meeting study site activation timelines utilizing effective negotiation skills resulting in signed executable agreements.

  • Ensuring integrity of clinical financial data within the clinical database and files, including entering, reviewing, verifying, and organizing incoming financial data.

  • Entering financial data into Company systems utilizing Oracle CSP and SAP programs.

  • Verifying accuracy of invoicing and other accounting documents or records for sites.

  • Submitting invoices to accounts payable for processing.

  • Monitoring study expenditures and terms of contracts to ensure compliance with study design.

  • Sending payment letters and correspondence to the site to request invoices.

  • Serving as the primary contact for sites regarding reimbursement issues.

The Clinical Contracts Manager must meet the following mandatory criteria:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada;

  • Must have a Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Information Systems;

  • Must have a minimum 2 years of experience in contracting, contract negotiations, and skill in redlining documents (Direct knowledge of Clinical Contracting preferred);

  • Must have experience with MS Office;

  • Experience with SAP and Oracle CSP is preferred;

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and work independently;

  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills;
