Job description

Position Summary:

The Clinical Resources Manager will oversee and support the Management team in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and the policies and procedures of S&R Nursing Homes Limited.

Reporting to the Administrator of the home, you will provide guidance and support including but not limited to full-cycle recruitment and selection, onboarding; labor relations,; assistance with workplace investigations, medical leaves of absence, WSIB document management, policy guidance, performance management and attendance management.

What You Can Expect Day-To-Day on the Job:

  • Collaborate with the Management team to play a lead role in full cycle recruitment and selection process for the home including reviewing and creating job postings
  • Partner with the Management team in interviewing and selecting candidates
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new employees including the Orientation process, collection and maintenance of new employee information, employee security accesses and employee file management.
  • Play a supporting role in administering the Attendance Management program and performance management, ensuring Managers and Team Members are adhering to the program
  • Oversee the home’s daily HR and Labour Relations matters for all departmental teams by ensuring compliance with collective agreements, union matters, policies and processes of Steves and Rozema Nursing homes.
  • Act as a main point of contact for Team Members, Managers, and Union inquiries or issues, responding to matters in a timely and consistent manner
  • Participate as needed in the workplace Investigation process and administer corrective action through progressive discipline as required
  • Oversee the execution of disability management program through collaboration with the Management team to investigate workplace incidents and document details regarding WSIB cases, follow up on Return To Work progress and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with the JHSC to provide guidance to the Management team on setting H&S objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree , Designation, or Certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in business administration, human resources or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a Long Term Care or healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Collective Agreement interpretation/administration and application.
