About Our Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, DevSecOps, Cloud, the Cloud Security Architect (Computer Services Officer 4) will provide guidance and specialized support services primarily in our public cloud presence.  You will ensure the availability, deployment, and maintenance of IT assets in our cloud tenants. Working independently and as a team member, you will play a key role in operational support as well as project delivery to ensure a high level of service that allows us to meet or exceed the requirements of our users.
Primary Accountabilities

-Work with clients to securely onboard new services or products in our public cloud tenants.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Design and maintain native cloud Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Work with clients to support design of secure cloud products.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Create and maintain firewall configurations and rules in cloud.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Provide support and troubleshooting of firewall issues within cloud native firewalls.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats in real time.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Provide support to the DevSecOps, Cloud teams as required.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-When assigned, act as the lead on medium to large-sized operational or project initiatives.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Troubleshooting and documenting incidents providing project status and updates to stakeholders.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Coaching and mentoring teammates and peers on new technologies and processes.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Work with on-premises support teams to coordinate firewall and other security configuration.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Designing and maintaining Cloud Security Policy.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Support operational services and monthly maintenance, including downtime and participation in a rotation of 24/7 on-call coverage.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science plus a minimum of five (5) years' experience or graduation from a recognized Information Technology program plus five (5) years and six (6) months of experience (or the equivalent combination of training and experience).   
You must have:

-Experience working with Web Application Firewalls.

-Experience in supporting firewalls from top tier vendors.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Experience supporting mission-critical (7x24) environments.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Experience analyzing network and security data.
 
style="margin-bottom:8.0px"-
-Experience working in larger enterprise environments.
Asset
The following will be considered assets:
-Relevant certifications in Cyber Security, DevSecOps and\or Cloud.
 
-Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks and automation of Cloud workload provisioning.
 
-Knowledge of open-source principles and technologies.
 
-Understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD practices, and related technology platforms.
 
-Strong willingness to learn and try new things.
 
-Experience building security into automated CI\CD pipelines.
 
-Experience with Cloud security policies.
 
-AWS Certified Security.
 
-Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
 
-Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200).
 
-Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
 
-CompTIA Cloud.
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required, and a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, peers, and management.  Ideally, you will be flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities.  Knowledge of project management methodology and procedures, IT, and security policies, ITIL processes in Government are also assets.
