Cnc Machinist - Evening Shift

Fluid containment and control is our specialty, we design and manufacture Stainless steel metallic flex hose as well as industrial rubber hose, expansion joints and a vast assortment of gaskets. We have an expanding Metallic hose and Bellow production department we are currently hiring for. We are hiring a Machinist. This position will be based in Red Deer Alberta. The hours of operation for evening shop staff are 3:30pm – 2:00am Monday through Thursday. Overtime available.

POSITION:

· Full time, permanent

· 10h Shift

· Overtime

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
• Machine parts using Haas and Mazak CNC lathes, milling machines and bandsaw.
• Setup, align and secure tool holders, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto the machine.
• Able to read blueprints, understand the work orders and follow instructions.
• Select the appropriate tools/fixtures, machines, and materials to be used for setups.
• Maintenance Machines and tools regularly
• Program and edit CNC Machines
• Correctly handling finished materials
• Performing quality control checks periodically
• Report to a Supervisor any issues affecting production.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

· Red seal preferred but not required.

· Must be able to speak read and write English.

· Minimum of 5 years CNC experience

· Haas and Mazak CNC machine experience

· Gibbscam software experience.

· The ability to multitask is an asset.

· Able to lift 50lbs.
