Description

Job Summary:
The Collection Specialist pursues and manages the collection of all overdue employer accounts and claims overpayments. Prepares and pursues to completion all legal actions and write offs as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other related discipline.
A minimum of one (1) year successful experience demonstrating the following skill sets:
Knowledge of accounting, auditing and / or collection principles & practices.
The ability to interpret financial statements.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships by utilizing strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and negotiation skills to make effective and intuitive business decisions.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications.
Ability to work independently and as a team member to effectively organize work and accurately complete assigned tasks.
Confirmed Reliability Status (Security Clearance) from Canada Revenue Agency (if hired before April 2006).
