The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba is seeking a Communications Coordinator to manage internal and external communications, media relations, publications, events, and professional presentations. About the Position:
The Communications Coordinator facilitates and maintains a broad range of communication solutions to support the work of CPhM.
Primary duties include:
– you will manage and maintain CPhM website, ensuring functionality and content currency, effectively tailoring messages to target a variety of audiences.
Publications and educational modules– you will develop and prepare internal publications, coordinating the format and content in conjunction with the staff teams.
Media engagement – you will keep apprised of provincial and national media coverage relating to CPhM, general regulatory matters, and the pharmacy profession and practice.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in a discipline relevant to communications, journalism, public relations, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and job experience in a related field
Knowledge of and experience in a health professions regulatory environment an asset
Skill – specific certifications or training an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
Experience writing, creating, and producing materials across a variety of platforms
Ability to effectively tailor messaging to target a variety of audiences and represent different presenters
Video filming and editing experience; website management; videoconference experience
Knowledge and skill with of a wide variety of software applications, including but not limited to WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, CMS, Zoom, GoTo Meeting
Excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills; professional and engaging manner
Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as to thrive as part of a team

Working at the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
This is a full-time permanent position, 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday. A hybrid work-model is available, following orientation and training; occasional requirement to work outside regular business hours for special meetings and events.
