The Communications Officer is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of effective and innovative internal and external communications and public relation strategies and initiatives.
- To collaborate and to assist in the planning, development, programming and publication of various public relations and communications activities, including Community Annual Report, Directory, communiqués, visual and print media, web site, intranet and social media account
- To carry out communications and public relations functions related to the promotion of all activities and services offered by the health center.
- To fulfill duties by following all accepted procedures of the department
- To prepare reports for senior management and for the Director of Operations
- Writes and prepares program reports
- Coordinates information sessions relevant to Communications Services
- Acts as the liaison with the communication teams of other community organizations, the local media and external media as necessary
- Coordinates media conferences, media briefings and press releases
- Updates communications procedure manual as necessary
- Participates in committees.
- Attends training, workshops and conferences.
- Photographs activities/services/staff, etc.
- Videotapes press conferences, special events and other activities.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $22.38-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
