Job Description
Nature Fresh Farms is looking for an ambitious and energetic Communications Specialist to join our team! As a Communication Specialist at our company, you will help manage and improve all our communications flows, within and outside of our company. In addition, you will be responsible for promoting a positive public image of our company. Job Specific Duties
- Coordinate cross-functional campaigns and communications projects with relevant departments in the business.
- Create effective communication strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Research, write and coordinate content and communications for a variety of communications (ex. website, memos, newsletters, press releases, etc.).
- Communicate with media on occasion.
- Manage customer and media inquiries, arranging interviews, statements, etc. as required.
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Help maintain social media platforms, ensuring all social communication follows brand guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- *Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of previous working experience as a Communications Specialist or similar role.
- College diploma or university degree in public relations, communications, or relevant field.
- Experience in Corporate and Internal/Employee Communications considered a benefit.
- Experience in web design, content production, as well as photo and video-editing skills is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, reading, writing, listening and oral communication.
- A very high degree of confidentiality and integrity required regarding all aspects of the business.
- A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel to the U.S. or internationally as required.
- Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines; and ensure timely follow-up.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company.
- Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.
- Ability to identify issues and problem solve independently using appropriate resources internally and externally.
- Comfortable with creating and facilitating presentations.
- Experience and knowledge in copywriting, proofreading and editing.
- Outstanding organizational, time-management, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to successfully manage tasks and projects independently is essential.
Note: Interview candidates will be requested to share a portfolio of written communication samples.
- *Working Conditions
- This position works in an office setting in a collaborative team environment.
- Working with minimal supervision during the day, but also communicating with different individuals and teams across our facilities.
- Works Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required. Hours may fluctuate according to business needs. May be required to work after hours as needed.
