As a student, you will build lasting relationships with industry leaders, and contribute to work that will build and strengthen your skill sets. Primary duties include:
  • Collaborate with a team of communicators to develop and implement marketing campaigns for various recreation programs, Calgary AfterSchool initiatives and the Youth Employment Centre.  
  • Help develop, update and execute communications plans for various projects and operational needs. 
  • Assist with drafting communication pieces such as news releases, web copy, signage, newsletters and social media. 
  • Gather and analyze metrics for communication and marketing reports. 
  • Liaise between clients and functional teams (submit requests, make edits, and receive approvals). 
  • Support and assist with photo and video shoots.
 
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a Communications, Marketing or Public Relations degree program.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
 
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2024.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $27.16 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
