In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior technical staff to assist or undertake projects. Primary duties include:

  • Support radio license management, planning site maintenance activities, and conducting site safety inspections.

  • Assist in ensuring the smooth operation of wireless services by troubleshooting cellular coverage problems, addressing mobile device issues, and documenting essential scripts for the IT Help Desk.

  • Test and verify portals for mobile device order & usage reports for City users.

 
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft tools including Teams, OneNote, One Drive, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint would be considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of Copilot and PowerBI would be considered an asset.

  • Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, communication (both written and verbal) skills at various levels of the organization, ability to prioritize tasks, analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team.

 
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2024.
  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
