Community Disability Support Workers

The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to adults and children with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta. We are currently recruiting Community Disability Support Workers (CDSW) in Lacombe for our residential programs.

CDSWs provide support to our clients in both residential and community settings, supporting clients with their independence.

Qualifications

• Must have confidence in providing supports for complex behaviours
• Must have experience working with/implementing Behaviour Support Plans
• Comfortable with providing personal care
• Creativity
• Patience
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to work closely with a team
• High School Diploma
• Certification/Diploma in a related field (Foundations, Community Support Worker, etc.) considered an asset

Requirements

• Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle
• Successful candidates must provide a Criminal Record Check
• Emergency Level C First Aid (obtainable within first three months of hire)
