The Role
Reporting to the Director of Recreation and Community Safety, the Community Events Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, recommendation, facilitation, implementation, and evaluation of City sponsored, inclusive events and programs to ensure a healthy, culturally diverse and engaged community. The role includes building relationships with related community volunteers, organizations, city staff and sponsors.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Recreation, Event Management or related area; supplemented by three to five years of experience in the development and delivery of effective programs and events; or sufficient qualifications as determined by assessment.
