  • Educate communities along the Green Line LRT on project delivery and community benefits.

  • Research, design and deliver public events that are engaging and easily accessibility for all interested parties.

  • Create digital outreach forums and video content to broaden the audience through the project website and social media.

  • Develop innovative ideas partnerships to deliver micro experiences to enhance the public realm during construction.
 
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a third year degree program in Urban Planning, Urban Studies, Public Relations, or Public Affairs.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) ArcGIS and Adobe Premier Creative Suite.

  • A Valid class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent) and no more than 6 demerits.

  • Success in this position requires a high level of comfort working with the public and communicating with diverse individuals. 

  • Interest in community relations and municipal government. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to take initiative and work independently as well as in a team setting. 

 
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2024.

  • Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.

  • A security clearance and Vulnerable Sector Search will be conducted.

  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Compensation: $27.16 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
