Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Compliance, Distribution Networks, as a Compliance Advisor, you will actively participate in the oversight activities of iA's individual insurance, savings, and retirement Distribution networks. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be called upon by business lines to support them in process improvement and the digital shift of distribution tools.
In your role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing oversight for general agents and monitoring the business practices of insurance advisors ("advisors");
- Writing review reports following surveillance activities and conducting remote or on-site interviews;
- Collaborating on audits and investigations into the business practices of the Network’s advisors and recommending corrective measures;
- Participating in the development and implementation of training and communication strategies for regulatory requirements related to distribution;
- Developing and disseminating presentations, communications, and training related to regulatory requirements for distribution;
- Supporting business lines and partners with advice and recommendations related to compliance rules applicable to the distribution of iA's financial products and services;
- Participating in the development of iA's Distribution networks;
- Providing advice and recommendations on obligations related to the distribution of individual financial products and services;
- Daily collaboration with the Compliance Technician and Advisors.
Qualifications:
- Professional experience of at least 3 years in the financial services sector;
- Good knowledge of sound business practices applicable to the distribution of individual financial products and services for a life insurance company;
- Knowledge of the operational activities of a life insurance company is an asset;
- Bachelor's degree in law is an asset;
- Rigor;
- Excellent linguistic skills in French and English, both orally and in writing, due to frequent interactions with an English and French-speaking clientele and internal colleagues/partners across Canada;
- Strong writing skills with good synthesis skills;
- Strong relational skills;
- Any other combination of education or experience deemed equivalent will be considered.
