We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will assist in various construction projects, performing tasks such as site preparation, material handling, and general labor. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Specifications
Looking to hire a construction laborer to help with wharf and floating dock construction.
- Candidate must have a Class 5 Drivers License, No Smoking and No Cellphone Addiction.
- Candidate must be comfortable working around the water.
- Candidate must be physically fit and in good shape
- Candidate must be reliable and able to show up on time for scheduled days
- Candidate must be able to detach from their cellphone during working hours, except for work related communications.
- Candidate must have their own PPE and should bring a bag of spare PPE/ Clothing.
Someone with any of the following skills would be considered an asset, mechanically inclined, carpentry, heavy timber construction, landscaping, Class 1 or 3 drivers license and heavy equipment operating.
Preference will be given to someone who fits the position & requirements.
Pay is based on the candidates experience.
Duties Include But Not Limited To:
- Using combination of 4-10lbs sledge hammer to drive 6" spikes up to 7/8 bolts.
- Occasionally lifting square timber
- Extended period of kneeling when decking wharves and floats
- Cleaning trucks and equipment
- Greasing / oiling equipement
- Organizing tool truck and work spaces
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
