Responsibilities and Duties:
- General Construction Tasks: Perform a variety of general construction tasks such as digging, shoveling, and loading/unloading materials to support ongoing construction activities.
- Material Handling: Safely handle and transport construction materials to and from work areas using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities such as clearing debris, leveling ground, and erecting temporary structures to facilitate construction work.
- Equipment Operation: Operate construction equipment and machinery under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assistance to Tradespeople: Provide support to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by fetching materials, holding tools, and performing other tasks as directed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others on the job site.
- Site Cleanup: Participate in site cleanup activities to remove debris, waste materials, and hazardous substances, ensuring cleanliness and organization on the construction site.
Qualifications:
- Experience an asset,
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks,
- Physically fitness and stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions,
- On the job training
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions and safety rules.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
